How do you define God’s faithfulness? Do you say God is faithful when He blesses you? What about the times when you’re going through the worst of your life, when you lose your job, when your child falls sick, when your car breaks down…? is He not faithful then? On what terms do you say God is faithful to you?

God is trustworthy. God had no one greater by whom to swear, He swore by himself to keep His covenant. God risks His eternal being, He pledged His eternal being…, all that He is, and all that He has, He put on the line as a surety for His promise. (Gen. 15)

God holds all of my life and my salvation. God is faithful regardless of our temporal situation. God is faithful in discharging every promise He has ever made! We must stop allowing our emotions and our worth to rise and fall based on what’s happening temporarily in this world.

To be a Christian, first of all, is to live by trusting God for our LIFE and for our DEATH. Jesus doesn’t say, ‘Come to me and all your problems will be solved.’ Jesus doesn’t promise us that this life will be easy; He promises its purpose, meaning and the joy would be found in Him. We are made for a purpose. For, the unchangeable character of His purpose He guaranteed with an oath, we have a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul. (Hebrews 6).

God is ever faithful!
